Vale House

Vale House offers self-contained flats within a of purpose-built building, giving people the opportunity to live in their home of their own. Each person has their own tenancy, with Skills Community Housing as the landlord.

We will support you to:

Develop independence, confidence, choice and control over your life

Understand and exercise your rights

Achieve the goals and outcomes that are important to you.

Everyone’s support is different. Depending on your individual needs and goals, support can be provided in a range of areas of your life, including:

  • Everyday living skills, including cooking, shopping, cleaning and managing a home
  • Maintaining your health and wellbeing, including attending appointments and accessing healthcare services
  • Managing medication, where required and agreed within your support plan
  • Managing finances, budgeting and bills
  • Maintaining your home and understanding housing responsibilities
  • Accessing education, volunteering, training and employment opportunities
  • Building and maintaining meaningful relationships
  • Accessing community activities, hobbies and interests

Stoke-on-Trent offers a wide range of opportunities to get involved in community life. From local shops, cafés and leisure centres to parks, community groups and attractions such as Trentham Gardens and Waterworld, you will have opportunities to pursue your interests, build meaningful relationships and play an active role in your community while living as independently as possible.
